This paper was a quasi-experimental study utilizing an alcohol prevention program as an intervention for decreasing alcohol use among grade 7 students in two selected national high schools in Mahayag, ZDS. Panagaan National High School students were assigned as the experimental group (n=94) while the Boniao National High School students were assigned as the control group (n=91). The experimental group was exposed to the alcohol prevention program for 2 weeks. There was no intervention given among the control group. Results showed decrease in alcohol use both in frequency and amount of drinking in the past month. This trend was evident between pre-intervention phase up to post-intervention 2 phase. As to intention to drink in the next year, the experimental group showed decreased intention to drink while the control group had increased intention to drink
